Anti Corruption Cell

The State Cabinet meeting of the Governor of Manipur established an Anti- Corruption Cell in the office of the Chief Minister, Manipur on  24/3/2017

The Aim and Objective was to eliminate corrupt elements against which actions shall be taken upon and to create a citizen-centric transparent and accountable governance except in conditions where secrecy has to be maintained. It is also stated that not a single favour or nepotism shall in the discharge of duty and bribery be outcasted from the State.

Maintenance and functions

Manned by 1 MCS and 1 MPS officers, who shall be having full information (name, address and contact number) of the complainant.

All complaints received in the cell shall be placed for screening and for suggesting further course of action before the following Committee :

1. Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur – Chairman

2. Two senior most Addl. Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur- Member

3. Administrative Secretary (DP), Government of Manipur – Member

The meeting of the screening Committee shall be held on the 1st & 16th of every month ( if it falls on a holiday, then the next working day)

Note -

Captured evidence in video/audio/picture is a strong proof.

The Government has promised to take prompt action

The identity of the complainant is said to be made confidential

Frivolous reporting will attract panalty under law
